Za'atar spice mix
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

  • 1 tablespoon sumac

  • 1/2 cup dried hyssop or oregano

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Roast the sesame seeds in a dry skillet until golden.


Grind the dried hyssop or oregano with a mortar and pestle or in a food processor.Mix the sesame and sumac and season with salt. Keep in an airtight jar.
